All persons participating have to wear a life jacket & whistle
Do not participate if you cannot swim
Kids ages 2-13 can participate in the costume contest only. To participate in the paddle you must be at least 7 and ride tandem with a guardian.

Any sort of paddle craft is allowed, including: kayaks, paddle-boards, canoes, dinghies, rowboats, dragon boats.

The ride is a mile. Depending on current and weather the ride can be doable for novice and experienced paddlers alike.

Launching from Galvez, crossing the intercoastal to reach Sunset Beach, and then continuing to Spell Island (Island #2). Each destination will have different entertainment, at Sunset Beach there will be options for group and individual photos, Spell Island, for live music, picnicking and relaxation.

Yes, you can bring your own kayak or paddle board. There will be a limited amount of rentals available.

Yes! There is a limited amount of rental kayaks and paddle boards. Pre-registration is key in reserving your rental and ensuring there is a watercraft available to you.

Yes. To be an eligible costume contest winner you must register to participate with us.

Volunteers are non-paid and do not participate in the paddle ride, they do however get a volunteer t-shirt while supplies last, and a small lunch. Volunteer hours can be supplied upon request.
